The 10 UKTV normal def channels are increasingly being dual illuminated on the British spotbeam 12129V 27500 2/3

So can be they moving fta?
Or may be the tp lease on the united kingdom spot very much cheaper its rendering it worth it for UKTV to go?

We realize Sky are reducing on the repayments they are producing to channels so that they may have made a decision to stop supporting the typical def variations of encrypted services

I'd be amazed if programs like Watch proceeded to go FTA however the ones which are currently on Freeview like Dave and Dilemma are surely probably the most likely to turn off the encryption, if any?

Will be a nice Christmas existing.

It would in addition make Freesat a lot more appealing for me personally as at this time I favor the Freeview lineup since it has stations like Dave.

Unfortunately I cannot get Freeview in HOLLAND.

This article, prepared last Monday, would make interesting reading, specifically why UKTV will be doing this.

According to this short article at least Play, Yesterday and Genuinely have been designated Freesat channels but nonetheless encrypted, therefore something is going on. Bit concerned that Dave hasn't managed to get to the record yet, let's trust it will be added rapidly.

Sooooo will the correct +1's proceed to a good beam aswell sooner or later?

I suspect it will likely be inescapable unless they opt to shift some programs between your two transponders, retaining all FTA at that moment and transferring some pay programs to another wide beam.

Dave will undoubtedly be coming, it's UKTV's flagship route.

Ive been considering the +1's - just Yesterday currently includes a timeshift service, so that it will be a simple employment to swap an encrypted support from spotbeam for Con +1.

Indeed, and exactly the same again for Dave Ja Vu down the road when Dave gradually joins.

However, they'll perhaps just switch another transponder into a UK spot and become finished with it. ;)
I always believed that encryption-wise a route and it's really timeshift are basically under the exact same deal, I've in no way found a linear route FTA and ita timeshift nevertheless encrypted? I think we will even if with Yesterday, at the very least for now.

Any tp adjustments affecting Sky containers have to take place before Dec 16th - thats once the annual program lockdown starts this season. Of course you'll find nothing to avoid UKTV starting a fresh spotbeam uplink on the holiday period nonetheless it cant get dealt on Sky devices until about Jan 4th or whenever lockdown concludes this holiday

Does this show that transponders on the brand new gen. of satellites can't you need to be switched between English and Euro beam as was basically originally suggested?

I'd take out of this that SES have got wound down the energy of the united kingdom spot to complement the field durability from the EU-wide footprint on TP6 - this can make it more challenging for overspill. Anyone in Germany, south of France or in other places over the fringes validate C/N characters between TP22 along with other C/D band location TP's?

I;m sceptical they would wind flow down the energy when reducing the FEC provides a similar effect together with the added advantage of more bandwidth.

That's what appears odd if you ask me, never found a UK place TP with just as reduced C/N as that before assessed in the united kingdom.

within Carcassonne south france I find BBC around 90
versus last night dave etc at 77,(encrypted atm)
and watchability reaches 72 on my recipient (ie under 72 I cannot watch)
I've a 120cm meal on astra 2

Just checked within the 1.2 motorised. Around 30 minutes ago 12129 V had not been locking, leaping between 0 - 4 dB
Yesterday as i checked within the 1.8 I got obtaining 8.9 dB on 12129 V ( 6.2 db in the 1.2 plate )

Interesting results. Where abouts in Spain are you currently?

Quite proper, Formentera del Segura ( close to Rojales )
Will check once again on 1.2 and 1.8 once the golf has done on 12.5 W!
